9.2.2 Error Messages

POST Error Messages
This section explains error messages of Power On Self Test (POST: a device check performed during the
server startup).
If an error occurs during POST, the following messages are displayed.
When checking/changing the settings of the BIOS Setup Utility, refer to "8.3 BIOS Setup Utility"
For instructions on checking peripheral connections, refer to "Start Guide".

CMOS Date/Time not set
Time is not set. Start the BIOS Setup Utility and set the
date/time in [System Date]/[System Time] on the [Main]
menu. If the message still appears, the battery or
baseboard must be replaced. Contact an office listed in
the "Contact Information" of "Start Guide".

Keyboard/Interface Error
Keyboard error. Check to see whether the keyboard is
connected properly. If the message still appears, the
keyboard or the PS2/USB conversion cable must be
replaced. If the message still appears after the
replacement, the baseboard must be replaced. Contact an
office listed in the "Contact Information" of "Start
Guide".

Configuration cleared by Jumper
The jumper switch settings have cleared the contents of
the CMOS. Confirm the current configuration using the
BIOS Setup Utility. If the message still appears, the
baseboard must be replaced. Contact an office listed in
the "Contact Information" of "Start Guide".

Password cleared by Jumper
The jumper switch settings have cleared the password.
Confirm the password using the BIOS Setup Utility. If the
message still appears, the baseboard must be replaced.

Configuration cleared by BMC
The BMC settings have cleared the contents of the
CMOS. The baseboard must be replaced. Contact an
office listed in the "Contact Information" of "Start
Guide".

PCI Resource Conflict
PCI error. Check that the PCI card is mounted properly. If
the message still appears, the PCI card or the PCI slot
must be replaced. If the message still appears after the
replacement, the baseboard must be replaced. Contact an
office listed in the "Contact Information" of "Start
Guide".
