Ê 

Loosen the mounting screws of the drives you do not want to remove (1).

Ê 

Remove the screws of the drive to be removed (2) and take the drive out of
the drive carrier (3).

Replace the drive with a dummy insert (1) and secure it with screws on both
sides (2). Retighten the mounting screws of the remaining drives (3).
