How to Use the
Operator Panel

Replacing the
Consumables

Replace the pick roller in following procedure.

Turn off the scanner and wait for at least 15 minutes.

For details, refer to

"1.3 Turning the Power ON/OFF" (page 23)

Unplug the power cable.

Remove all documents from the ADF paper chute
(feeder).

Open the ADF.

For details, refer to

"1.4 Opening/Closing the ADF" (page 24)

Open the sheet guide.

Slide the side guides all the way by pressing the side guide buttons,
and pull the sheet guide open from the dip.

6.3 Replacing the Pick Roller

ATTENTION

There are two types of pick rollers. When replacing pick rollers, make
sure you replace both types at the same time.

When the ADF is open, it might close
accidentally. Be careful not to get your
fingers caught.
