Rename FC Host
This function renames a FC host.
The procedure to rename FC hosts is as follows:
Procedure

Select the FC host to be renamed (multiple selections can be made) and click
[Rename FC Host] in [Action].

Input the new FC host name and the suffix starting number (only when multiple
FC hosts are selected), and click the [Rename] button.

Name
Input a new FC host name.
An existing host name cannot be specified. Refer to
for details.
The following input conditions apply:

1 - 16 alphanumeric characters and symbols (except ", (comma)" and "?")

Start of Suffix
Input the suffix starting number to be added to the new FC host name.
When changing multiple FC host names, the suffix number is added to the FC host
names with consecutive numbers in the ascending order starting with the entered suffix
number.
When changing only one FC host name, the "Start of Suffix" field is not displayed.
The following input conditions apply:

Numeric characters ("0" - "99999")

Decimal number

1 - 5 digits

When no FC hosts are registered, this function cannot be used.

A host name, which has already been registered in the ETERNUS DX
Disk storage system, cannot be specified.

Multiple FC hosts can be renamed with a single operation. In this case,
a new FC host name has the following format: "Entered FC host name +
a suffix number".

Both "FC host" and "FCoE host" are abbreviated as "FC host" in this
guide.
