Remarks:

1. To use the remote panel, it is necessary to make network settings

in advance from the operator panel. For information on the
methods of network settings and operating the remote panel, see

5, "Remote Panel Operation."

2. The recommended browser is Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 to

6.0 and Netscape Navigator 4.7 to 4.78.

3. The remote panel uses "Cookie" and "Java Script". Enable the

settings of these functions of the browser to be used.

Important:

Use the remote panel in an environment in which sufficient network
security measures are taken.

1.2.8 E-mail

function

The E-mail function is available as a remote communication function of the library.

This function can send the error report E-mail containing error information is written to
up to five mail addresses when a library or drive error occurs. The E-mail function can
be set on the remote panel.

For information on the method of sending mail from the remote panel, see

5.5.5, " Setting

the E-mail Function."
