Cache
Description
Extreme Cache
PFMs that are installed in the CM are used as secondary cache memory.
EXC can only be used for Read I/O. PFMs must be installed. Refer to
of the EXC setting according to the number of installed PFMs" (page 683)
for
details. For the ETERNUS DX500 S3/DX600 S3, set the memory size of EXC for
each storage system. For the ETERNUS DX8700 S3/DX8900 S3, click the [Set] but-
ton. The cache memory size of the target CM is automatically set according to the
PFM capacity that is installed in each CM.
Enabling or disabling EXC for each volume can be performed with ETERNUS CLI or
ETERNUS SF Storage Cruiser.
