6. Quality Control
IMPORTANT:
To maintain the accuracy of your test results, daily quality control is necessary.
Perform quality control using control fluids.
6.1 Control Fluids
Use the FUJI DRI-CHEM CONTROL QN (henceforth, the QN) for the FUJI DRI-CHEM SLIDEs to perform
quality control.
NOTE: Follow the descriptions on the “Instruction Manual”.
6.2 Running the Control Fluid (the QN)
Run the control fluid by following the same procedure for testing patient samples.
6.3 Monitoring Results
Define the target value and acceptable range for the tests by using control running results. Be sure to follow
generally accepted laboratory procedures and to monitor control results.
6.4 Control Mode
By using the Control of mode function, the control fluids are tested under the condition of correlation coef-
ficients a, b; for all tests reset to a = 1 and b = 0.
After completing this mode, disable the control mode.
(For further information about operating Mode 1 - Turning on the Control Mode (a, b canceled), refer to Sec-
tion 8.3 (P8-5).)
6.5 Troubleshooting for Quality Control
If the control results are suspected of being inaccurate (e.g., out of the acceptable range), confirm the follow-
ing and rerun the control fluids.
- Make sure that the periodic maintenance (cleaning and replacing of consumables and parts) has
been performed by following this manual.
- Make sure that all information (regarding handling and storage conditions, etc.) described in the “In-
structions for Use” of slides, and control fluids have been maintained.
If the control results are still inaccurate, please contact your technical support.
