2 Setting Up the Machine
You can use [Quick Setup] to connect to a wireless network when the following conditions are met.
Your computer is connected to the access point or wireless router that you want to set on the
machine.
The machine is not connected to another wireless network.
Note
Depending on the environment you are using, there may be cases in which you cannot use [Quick Setup]
to connect to a wireless network.
When specifying the encryption type as WEP and connecting to a wireless network, [Quick Setup] cannot
be used. Configure the wireless network settings from the operator panel and install the software with
[Custom Installation]. For details on wireless network connection settings, refer to "Manually Connecting
to a Wireless Network" (P.20) and for details on how to install software, refer to "Installing with [Custom
Installation]" (P.27)

Connecting Using Support Tools (Windows)
You can use the [Printer Software] support tool, available for download from the official company
website, to configure wireless network settings. You can connect to a wireless network with the
support tools when the following conditions are met.
Your computer is connected to the access point or wireless router that you want to set on the
machine.
The machine is not connected to another wireless network.

Extract [Printer Software] after downloading to the computer, and double-click on
"Launcher.exe" in the generated folder.

Click on [Support Tools].

Click on [Wi-Fi Settings].
4.
Follow the on-screen instructions to configure the settings.
