Original Type buttons - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd buttons
Select from [Text/Line], [Text/Photo], [Picture], [Photo], [Blueprint], and [Transparent].

Copy Defaults
This screen allows you to set the default values
for the copy feature.
These default settings take effect when the
power is turned on or the machine returns from a
power-saving mode, or when the <Clear All> but-
ton is pressed.
By setting the defaults to commonly used fea-
tures, you can simplify your copy operations.
The following items can be set:
Allows you to set the document type to be displayed
next to the first, second and third buttons under
[Original Type] in the [Image Quality] screen.

Set whether to display the [Basic Copy (Auto
Mode)] screen as the default screen instead of the
[Basic Copy] screen whenever the copy function is
selected.

Reduce/Enlarge
Set the default value for [Reduce/Enlarge] on the
[Basic Copy] screen.
Select the magnification from the six buttons reg-
istered as R/E buttons, [100%], and [Auto %], a
total of eight types.
When the default setting for [Media Supply] is
[Auto Select], you cannot set [Auto %] for
[Reduce/Enlarge].

Media Supply
Set the default value for [Media Supply] on the
[Basic Copy] screen.
When the default setting for [Reduce/Enlarge] is
[Auto %], you cannot set [Auto Select] for [Media
Supply].
