Check to ascertain that a green stopper is
located at the back of the unit. Push it to the back
if it is located at the front.

If the jammed media can be seen from the front,
pull it forward slowly.
Important •
Avoid damaging the media.
•
Do not touch any of the high-temperature com-
ponents in the machine when clearing paper
jams.
Important •
Remove the jammed media from the rear side
of the machine only when the jammed media
cannot be seen from the front.
Pull the jammed media forward slowly, while
lifting the lever on the right-hand side on the
rear side of the machine, to remove the paper.

Pull the green stopper to the front.(1)

Grasp the upper side of the manual feed tray
with both of your hands and lower the upper unit
gently and securely.(2)
Important •
Ensure that the weight of the manual feed
table is distributed equally between both of
your hands when lowering it.
•
Take care not to trap your fingers.
Paper jams in Folder
When media is jammed in the Simple Folder, the message "Paper Jam" appears on
the control panel. Remove the media according to the instructions displayed on the
screen.
