Power Saver Mode
The printer has an energy saving feature that reduces power consumption during periods of inactivity. This feature
operates in two modes: the Low Power mode and Sleep mode. As delivered, the printer switches to the Low Power
mode three minutes after the last print job is printed. The printer then switches to the Sleep mode after another one
minute of inactivity. When the printer is in the Low Power mode,
(
Energy Saver
) button lights up, and the LCD
backlight turns off. In the Sleep mode, the display also goes blank and displays nothing.
The factory default setting of one minute for each mode is changeable within the range of 1 to 60 minutes (Low
Power mode and Sleep mode). The printer returns to the ready-to-print state in about 16 seconds when re-activated.
The printer can switch from the ready-to-print state to the Low Power mode without waiting right after pressing
(
Energy Saver
) button. Press
(
Energy Saver
) button to switch to Power Saver mode to save electricity.
NOTE:
•
The functions of Low Power mode and Sleep mode cannot be disabled.

) button on the operator panel. To exit the Sleep mode, press the
(

) button.
NOTE:
•
