Fax Settings
157
• Media Available – Specify the method to notify the other party of the paper size that
can be printed when receiving a fax. If [Tray Mode] is selected, the machine notifies
the largest paper size of those Tray 1, 2, 3, or 4 which are set to contain plain paper
will be named, regardless of whether that paper is actually set in the tray. If [Paper
Size Mode] is selected, the machine notifies the largest paper size of those Tray 1,
2, 3, or 4 which are set to contain plain paper will be named.
NOTE:
If the paper types set for Tray 2, 3, and 4 are anything other than plain paper,
the situation will be recognized as out of paper, even if there is paper in those trays.
NOTE:
If a paper tray is changed while the machine is in power saving mode, the
changed setting may not be conveyed accurately to the counterpart.
• Paper Size – Specify the method for selecting a paper size. If you select [Normal],
the machine selects from all standard paper sizes. If you select [Adjust Width], the
machine selects from paper sizes whose widths are equal to or shorter than the
received documents. If you select [Fixed Width], the machine selects from paper
sizes whose widths are equal to the ones of received documents.
• Unavailable Tray – Select a paper tray which you will not select as the paper for
printing received documents.
NOTE:
Paper trays which are set as Unavailable Tray will not be used to print
received documents. Even if the tray contains the optimum paper for printing, the
machine will regard it as not having paper for printing.
Multiple-Up
Specify whether or not to print two received consecutive documents as a single page.
The arrangement of the scanned documents is fixed as top to bottom.
NOTE:
Depending on the paper size used, the document may be missing when it is
time to print.
Rotate 90°
Specify whether or not to automatically rotate the image to be received.
If the orientation of the received document and loaded paper differ, the machine
automatically rotates the image by 90 degrees.
NOTE:
This function is enabled when printing on A4, B5 or A5 paper. It is disabled
when printing on A3 or B4 paper.
NOTE:
Even if the machine is set for rotated reception, it will be printed without
rotation if the paper is set in the same orientation as the received document.
Print Limit
Set the start and end times for printing out incoming faxes and the reports.
The documents which have been interrupted to output due to the end time and stored
into the memory can be automatically printed out at the next start time.
Select [Always On] to print out the documents at all times.
Set days of a week together with the time. If not so, the machine cannot print out the
documents mentioned above.
