Service codes
Safety
General
The purpose of these service codes is to identify errors that may occur and remedy them
directly on site, if possible. Service codes are divided into service classes.
Every service code provides information on
-
the reason why the service code has appeared
-
appropriate correction measures
Displaying Sta-
tus Codes
Your inverter is equipped with a self diagnostic system that automatically identifies a large
number of possible operation issues by itself and displays them on the screen. This en-
ables you to know immediately if there are any malfunctions in the inverter, the photovoltaic
system or any installation or operating errors.
Whenever the self diagnostic system has identified a particular issue, the respective status
code is shown on the screen.
Total failure of the
display
If the display remains dark for a long time after sunrise:
-
Check the AC voltage at the inverter's connections:
the AC voltage must be 208–240 V (+ 10%/- 5%)*
-
Carry out AC reset: Isolate the inverter in its unloaded state from the AC supply and
then connect again.
*
The grid voltage tolerance depends on the country setup.
Class 1 service
codes
Status codes in class 1 are typically temporary. Their cause lies in the grid.
The inverter's initial response is to disconnect from the grid. Then, the grid will be checked
for the duration of the observation period stipulated. If, after the end of this period, no fur-
ther defect is identified, your inverter resumes grid power feed operation.
WARNING!
An electric shock can be fatal. Before opening the device
-
Set power switch to -O- if there is one
-
Disconnect the device from the grid
-
Disconnect the inverter from DC power
-
Use a suitable measuring tool to ensure that electrically charged components
(e.g. capacitors) are discharged
-
Restrict access to the working area
-
Implement measures to ensure that the metallic surfaces of the device can-
not be touched
-
Wear suitable protective gear when inspecting/repairing the device
IMPORTANT!
You must contact the Solar Electronics hotline before carrying out any soft-
ware updates. Depending on the serial number and firmware status, the need for updates
has to be clarified beforehand.
IMPORTANT!
Status codes may sometimes appear briefly as a result of the control re-
sponse from the inverter. If it subsequently continues to operate normally, there has not
been a system error.
