General Fronius system monitoring is a networked datalogger.
The Fronius system monitoring web page provides a quick overview of the photo-
voltaic system.
It can be accessed via a web browser when there is a direct connection or – if
configured to support an indirect connection – over the Internet.
If the feature is used in conjunction with Fronius Solar.web, current data and
archive data can be accessed for a particular photovoltaic system via the Inter-
net or the Fronius Solar.web App without the need for any laborious configura-
tion work. Fronius system monitoring automatically sends the data to Fronius
Solar.web.
Prerequisites for
operation You must have a suitable internet connection to enable data to be exchanged
smoothly over the internet:
- For wired internet solutions, Fronius recommends a
download speed of at least 512 kBit/s and an
upload speed of at least 256 kBit/s .
- For solutions that rely on mobile internet services, Fronius recommends 3G
transmission as a minimum, plus a reliable signal.
Even if these specifications are adhered to, there is still no guarantee that
everything will run smoothly.
High error rates during transmission, variable reception conditions or transmis-
sion dropouts can all have a detrimental effect on the online functionality of
Fronius system monitoring.
Fronius recommends testing any connections that meet the minimum require-
ments locally.
