Device Concept
Fronius DC Box 60/12 (open)
The Fronius DC Box 60/12 is designed for
use in grid-connected photovoltaic systems
with several solar module strings.
Six to twelve solar module strings can be in-
tegrated at the input of the Fronius DC Box
60/12 to reduce these at the output to one
DC+ and one DC- main line.
Inverter The Fronius DC Box 60/12 is designed for use with the following inverters:

Fronius IG 15 / 20 / 30 / 40
- Fronius IG 60 HV
- Fronius IG Plus
- Fronius IG Plus V
- Fronius IG TL
These inverters have integrated overvoltage protection on the DC input side.
For this reason, no overvoltage limiter is required in the Fronius DC Box 60/12. If type 1 or
type 2 overvoltage protection is desired, it can be installed in the Fronius DC Box
60/12 on the DIN rail provided for this purpose.
WICHTIG! With operation of the DC Box 60/12 in conjunction with the inverters Fronius IG
15, 20, 30, 40 and Fronius IG 60 HV, there is no DC disconnect in the photovoltaic system.
If required, provide a suitable DC disconnect.

- 2 M32 metric screw joints including counter nuts
- 24 M16 metric screw joints including counter nuts
- 12 M16 threaded plugs
- 1 M20 metric screw joint including counter nut
- 1 M25 metric screw joint including counter nut
- 1 M20 metric threaded plug
- 1 Set of seals (24 O-rings M16, 2 O-rings M32, 2 O-rings M20/M25, 1 rubber insert
M25, 2 blanking plugs for rubber insert M25)
- 1 DC Connector Kit (2 connecting distributers incl. mounting accessories)
- 1 leaflet „Fire Prevention“
- 1 leaflet „Installation“
NOTE! Other inverters that do not have integrated overvoltage protection on the
DC input side cannot be used without due consideration!
