Enabling Green Mode for the LAN Port
To save energy you can enable the “Green mode” setting.
The transmission rate on FRITZ!Powerline’s LAN port is then
reduced to Mbit/s (without Green mode 1 Gbit/s). Energy
consumption under load is reduced to no more than 1 watt.
The “Green mode” setting is found in the user interface of
your FRITZ!Box (
) and in the FRITZ!Powerline
software.

Energy Saving Standby Mode
About 5 minutes after the connected network device was
turned off, FRITZ!Powerline automatically switches to standby
mode.
The Power LED flashes slowly during standby operation.
In standby mode the power consumption of the device is only
ca. 0.5 W, instead of ca. 3 W during normal operation.
Computers that can be started over the network (wake on
LAN) are not turned off completely. If FRITZ!Powerline is sup-
posed to switch to standby mode, disable the wake on LAN
feature on the computer, or disconnect the computer from
the power supply, for instance, using a switchable power out-
let strip.
