Expanding a Wireless Radio Network
Overview
If the FRITZ!Box is placed in a favorable location, but the wireless
network still does not reach all of your rooms, then you can extend the
range of the wireless network with a wireless repeater, a powerline
device with WiFi functionality, or with an additional FRITZ!Box. In
combination with the FRITZ!Box, FRITZ! products are especially suit
able.
Example Configuration: Using a FRITZ!Repeater
How a Wireless Repeater Works
A wireless repeater extends the range of your wireless network. For
this the wireless repeater is connected with the FRITZ!Box. Where the
wireless network of the FRITZ!Box cannot be received or has a weak
signal, smartphones, tablets and other wireless can connect with the
wireless repeater. The wireless repeater establishes the connection to
the home network and the internet of the FRITZ!Box.
You can use FRITZ! devices and wireless repeaters from other manu
facturers. You can also deploy multiple wireless repeaters.
