When fitting the nut, after securing the threaded insert, do not over tighten the nut
as this will affect the pivoting function of the Upper Handle Assembly, ensure the
Assembly is able to pivot freely without friction.
E)
Test lowering of the Upper Handle Assembly from the Actuator Maximum height
using the handset, if Actuator is not lowering, loosen the nut until lowering is
possible. Ensure the nut is applied Loctite 243 once complete.
9.7.2 – Stainless Steel Assembly
Removal
Step 1 – Remove the two Star Handles from the Upper Handle Assembly to release the
Stainless Steel Assembly.
Step 2 – Remove the Stainless Steel Assembly by pulling it out of the Upper Handle.
Refitting / Replacement
Step 3 - Refitting is a reversal of the removal process noting the following point:
A)
When refitting the Stainless Steel Assembly the rail insert alignment is crucial, align
the rail inserts as shown in the image below to allow the star handles to thread
correctly.
B)
Tighten the Star Handles until the Stainless Steel Assembly is secured.
