4.4. Advanced Chipset Features
Selecting “Advanced Chipset Features” on the main program screen
displays this menu:
This screen controls the settings for the board’s chipset. All entries related
to the DRAM timing on the screen are automatically configured. Do not
make any changes unless you are familiar with the chipset.
SDRAM CAS Latency Time: Enables you to select the CAS latency
time in HCLKs of 2/2 or 3/3. The value is set at the factory depending on
the DRAM installed. Do not change the values in this field unless you
change specifications of the installed DRAM or the installed CPU. The
options are “2” and “3” (default).
SDRAM Cycle Time Tras/Trc: This field enables you to set the CAS
latency time in HCLKs of 7/9 , 5/7 or Auto (default). The system board
designer should have set the values in this field, depending on the DRAM
installed. Do not change the values in this field unless you change
specifications of the installed DRAM or the installed CPU.
SDRAM RAS-to-CAS Delay: This sets the relative delay between the
Row Address Strobe (RAS) and the Column Address Strobe (CAS).
Options are “2”, “3” and “Auto” (default).
