4.3 MPIC controller
The MPIC pins of the LS1043A processor are connected to several devices on board.
Connection to the Interrupt sources are done through voltage level shifters. LS1043A
MPIC assignments are listed in the table below.

4.4 Temperature anode and cathode
The LS1043ARDB has two pins, TD1_Anode and TD1_Cathode. These pins are
connected to a thermal body diode on the die that allows direct temperature measurement.
The pins are connected to an ADT7461 device (U45) with dual-channel thermal monitor.
This allows you to take direct die temperature readings with an accuracy of ±1 °C.
In addition to triggering the software interrupts in case of thermal problems, the
ADT7461 temperature warning and alarm signals are used to drive indicators and are
connected to CPLD for monitoring. CPLD uses these signals to power down the system
to protect the LS1043ARDB from over-temperature failure.
