Troubleshooting: Slide-Out 
Problem 

Cause/Solution 

Slide-out does not move

Slide-out power is off or main power switch is off

Level of coach batteries is too low

Key is in the ignition

Gear selector is not in (P) park position

Objects under or on top that prevent the slide-out from moving 

 
When there is no power to the slide-out please try

to press the battery boost button at the dash while operating the slide-out 

-

 

to move the slide-out manually. Please see the instructions on the next page. 

Slide-out moves uneven 

Hold the switch (IN or OUT) for 2 seconds after full extension or retraction. 

 

RETRACTING THE SLIDE-OUT MANUALLY 

First, the brake (brake lever) of the slide-out motor must be released. To access it, remove the 
four screws of the guard located in the upper wall of the propane tank compartment. 
 

 

For  manual  use,  now  put  the  small  lever  on  the  side  of  the  brake  (brake  lever)  in  the  OFF 
position.  
 

 

 

Put the operating switch in the OFF – Manual Drive position.  
 
 
The  crank 

 

for  the  manual  retraction  is  stored  in  an  external  compartment.  Now  push  the 

crank handle through the small, round opening (crank handle access 

) on the driver side right 

beside the cabin door. Turn the crank until the slide-out is fully retracted.

Put  the  brake  lever  back  into  the  ON  –  Electrical  Drive  position  to  ensure  that  the  slide-out 
remains retracted and does not extend while you are driving. 

 

 

OVERHEAD POWER BUNK BED 

 
The Overlander RV is equipped with a power overhead bunk bed. Turn key to enable the electric bunk bed 
controls. Press and hold up or down arrows to place bunk bed in desired position.
