2.3 Electrical connections

For  automatic  control,  the  unit  heater  can  be  connected  to  an
(external) room thermostat or, alternatively, to an ON/OFF switch for
manual control.

  The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified technician.

  Ensure  that  the  characteristics  of  the  electrical  supply  current  comply  with  what  is

indicated on the nameplate.

Earthing is mandatory

The installation must include a device for omnipolar disconnection of the device from the mains power
supply,  and  a  protection  fuse  of  adequate  size  of  the  delayed  type  for  motor  starting  must  also  be
installed.

2.4 Hydraulic connections

Connect the unit heater to the water supply and return lines at the
points provided (see Fig. 1.10.1 - Water supply and return
connection).
Avoid twisting the connections when connecting to the line. Counter

the  tightening  with  a  spanner.  The  thermal  system  must  be  adapted  to  the  characteristics  of  the
appliances in use and comply with the regulations in force.

3 - OPERATION

3.1 Preliminary Operations

Before putting the unit heater into operation, check that

 All connections, both electrical and hydraulic, are made according to the instructions in this manual;

 The hot water heater is free and clear;

 The flow and return water taps are open.

3.2 First Start-up

- Start the fan and check the correct airflow direction (Fig. 3.2.1);
- Ensure that all wires are positioned evenly and are not pinched or
stretched;
- Ensure that the hydraulic connections are correct;

- Open the water supply tap and check that there are no leaks along the flow and return lines;
- Check that the appliance performs the intended function (heating or cooling) correctly.

3.3 Start-up

Start the machine by setting the room thermostat (external) to the desired temperature or turning the
manual switch (external) to the ON (I) position. The machine starts automatically as soon as it is powered
