Royal Mail ‘Return Address’ specification
You may use the printed text function to create and display your return address
information. Your return address must be formatted in accordance with Royal Mail
return address block requirements.
Example:
– The Return Address block must contain the
phrase ‘
Return Address
’ printed on the
top line.
– No other text/information that could be con-
strued as a Return Address may be
included on the face of the mail piece.
– The Return Address block must contain a
maximum of 5 lines of text, including the
‘Return Address’ phrase.
– The Return Address must be a full and
valid UK PAF Address.
– Where space for the Return Address is
limited, it may be truncated by omitting the
least significant elements, provided that
sufficient information is retained within the
address to make the item uniquely deliver-
able. The Return Address must contain as
a minimum:
Delivery point information
(Organisation Name, Building Name or Street Number)
Town
Postcode
