The chassis is an integral part of the motorhome and with proper care and maintenance can
provide many miles of reliable travel. The following section is for reference only, for detailed
information regarding, product information and proper maintenance of the chassis, refer to the
chassis manufactures owner’s manual.
You as the owner are the key to keeping your motorhome in good operating condition, as well
as being responsible for taking the proper precautions when attempting any repair or
maintenance activities. If you are not sure what action to take, or uncomfortable with
performing a maintenance or repair function, contact your dealer, or a designated chassis
manufacturer servicing dealer. Check information supplied by chassis manufacturer for a
service dealer near you.
Special procedures or schedules for “breaking-in” your new motorhome are minimal. Make sure
to follow the recommendations as outlined in the chassis owner’s manual to ensure proper
future performance and economy.
REFERENCE: Make sure to read all chassis information supplied by the chassis
manufacturer, paying particular attention to precautionary notes and warnings, as well as all
maintenance procedures and schedules.
REFERENCE: The motorhome may have an Event Data Recorder, refer to the chassis owner’s
manual for further details.
Operation and maintenance of the brake system is covered in the chassis owner’s manual.
Always be sure to keep your brakes in proper working condition, following the service
schedule in the chassis literature, and the recommendations of your chassis service
representative.
