4.6.1 Setting Emissivity
Emissivity is the rate of the measured object’s outward radiation energy to the
black body’s, at the same temperature and wavelength. The value is between 0
and 1.
Note: Emissivity is the most important parameter to be set correctly for accurate
temperature measurement.
The emissivity settings of the FOTRIC thermal imager has 2 options: full-
screen emissivity correction and partial emissivity correction.
To set full-screen emissivity, please perform the following steps:
1. Click the emissivity set button.
2.
Slide up and down to set the emissivity value (0.01 – 1.0), or choose the
material type.
3. If the materials type is not found on screen, please refer to the material
Emissivity Table in the end of this manual. If the material type is not in the
