3.4.4 Boot configuration
The i.MX RT1050 can support different modes of OS image flashing and OS booting, once system powered or
reset, CPU will read system booting configuration mode to choose flashing mode and booting mode. the
development board takes BOOT_MODE0, BOOT_MODE1, BOOT_CONFIG1[6], BOOT_CONFIG1[7] as system
booting mode pins. BOOT_MODE0 and BOOT_MODE1 are boot type selection pins
BOOT_CONFIG1[6] and BOOT_CONFIG1[7] are boot device selection pins
SD listed in the above sheet is for SDHC1, and matched with TFcard(P16) on carrier board
K2 on right bottom corner of carrier board is DIP switch for development board system booting mode selection
key, switch DIP to right side to ON, and set DIP to left side to OFF, system flashing and booting mode settings are
as below, from up to bottom, 4P switches are 1, 2, 3, 4
QSPI NOR booting
:
1.off, 2. off , 3. off , 4. off ;
SD card booting mode: 1.off , 2. off , 3. on , 4 . off;
QSPI NAND booting mode: 1.off , 2. off, 3. on , 4 . on
Notice:
1. pins LCD_DATA3, LCD_DATA4, LCD_DATA5, LCD_DATA6, LCD_DATA7, LCD_DATA11
on SoM FET1052-C are pins for booting mode selection, when LCD is not used, they could be
used as IO(but please make sure when powering, it won’t affect CPU to recognize pin power
level high or low)
