Section 6
APPLIANCES
Your Aviator is equipped with a roof mounted air conditioner and has an option for a second Roof A/C
which would be mounted in the bedroom. They both operate on 110 volt and on 12 volt power.
See
, and
. Efficiency when using
the air conditioning can be increased by closing all windows and curtains and parking your Aviator in the
shade. Air conditioning consumes a large portion of the electric power available in your Aviator and
efficient operation can be an important consideration.
Second Roof Air Conditioner (optional)
The Wall Thermostat located in the bedroom (see picture below) controls the optional Second Roof A/C
only. To turn it on press the On/Off Mode button and when the green led light is lit by Fan press the (+ or
–) buttons to select fan speed (Hi, Lo, or Auto). Next press the On/Off Mode button again until the green
led light by Cool is lit and use (+ or -) buttons to select your temperature. Pressing both the (+ and -)
buttons together will switch from Fahrenheit to Celsius back and forth. To turn the second Roof A/C off
press the On/Off Mode button until the green led light is lit by the On/Off Mode button. After a few
seconds the Roof A/C will shut off.
Note: The heat function does not control the furnace on the bedroom wall thermostat as
this bedroom wall thermostat only operates the optional Second Roof A/C using the Fan
and cooling modes.
Even though your Aviator is equipped with 50 amp capabilities, be aware that some campgrounds may
offer less than 50 amp service. Check with the campground before utilizing excessive power, which may
create a fire hazard or trip breakers, in either your Aviator, or the outside power source.
NOTE: ALWAYS TURN OFF AIR CONDITIONER (AND ALL ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES)
BEFORE DISCONNECTING THE RV FROM ITS’ 110 VOLT POWER SOURCE.
NOTE: IF YOU COVER THE OUTSIDE PORTION OF YOUR AIRCONDITIONER DURING
PERIODS OF STORAGE, BE SURE TO REMOVE PROTECTIVE COVER BEFORE
REUSING.
