APPLIANCES
WHEN REFUELING OR PARKED NEAR GASOLINE PUMPS, SHUT OFF ALL
LP GAS APPLIANCES. FAILURE TO HEED THIS WARNING COULD CAUSE A FIRE OR
EXPLOSION RESULTING IN DEATH OR SEVERE PERSONAL INJURY AS WELL AS
DAMAGE TO YOUR AVIATOR AND/OR SURROUNDING AREA. BEFORE OPERATING
THE FURNACE CHECK THE LOCATION OF THE FURNACE VENT TO BE SURE IT WILL
NOT BE BLOCKED BY THE OPENING OF ANY DOOR ON YOUR AVIATOR (OR BY
EXTERIOR ITEMS SUCH AS A BUSH OR A TREE.)
Tips to assure continued safe operation of the furnace
1. Inspect furnace venting. Venting must be free of obstruction and soot.
2. Periodically observe the main burner flame to ensure it is burning with a hard blue flame. If the flame
appears yellow or lazy, shut the furnace down. The burner may need to be cleaned or replaced.
3. Keep the furnace area clear of any combustible materials. Gasoline or other flammable vapor and
liquids.
Turning the Furnace On
First make sure your LP tanks have LP in them and are turned on and the LP regulator is set to the proper
position. Make sure your converter is on or your batteries are in good condition for supplying 12 volt
power to the Wall Thermostat and the Furnace. Next press the Mode button on the Heat/Cool Wall
Thermostat until the green LED light by Furnace is lit.
Using the (+) and (-) buttons set the temperature you want inside the Aviator. Note: by pressing both the
(+) and (-) buttons at the same time you will switch from Fahrenheit to Celsius and back with each press.
Press the On/Off Mode button until the green LED lit by the On/Off Mode button is lit. This means
everything is turned off and within 15 to 30 seconds the green Led light will go out. The Furnace may still
have to purge out the warm air and may take a few minutes before it shuts off.
NOTE: TO PROPERLY OBSERVE BURNER OPERATION, THE FURNACE MUST BE
REMOVED. THIS SHOULD ONLY BE DONE BY YOUR DEALER OR A QUALIFIED
SERVICE CENTER.
SHOULD OVERHEATING OCCUR OR THE GAS SUPPLY FAIL TO SHOUT OFF,
SHUT OFF THE MANUAL GAS VALVE TO THE APPLIANCE BEFORE SHUTTING OFF
THE ELECTRICAL SUPPLY.
