Information—Specifications
4.10.1 Audio Head Unit (AHU)
Audio Head units, are connected to the instrument
panel wiring via a 24 and 26 way connector, see
figures E145370 and E146212
NOTE:
There is a co-axial cable (black) for the
roof-mounted AM/FM/DAB antenna that goes to
the back of the audio head unit, but if the vehicle
has a navigation display the main co-axial cable
goes to the back of the navigation display and then
there is another co-axial cable that goes between
the navigation display and the audio head unit,
plus there is a thin co-axial cable (black) for the
global positioning system antenna that also goes
to the navigation display.
NOTE:
All vehicles except, pre equipment pack,
have 3 variants of a Multi Function Display (MFD)
and Integrated Control Panel (ICP).
NOTE:
Power for radio -
do not
switch the
permanent battery feed (KL 15) and ignition feed
(KL 30) on the radio connection. The ignition feed
15 is only used to 'wake up' the radio.
