TILTING HEAD
RESTRAINTS*
The front head restraints tilt for extra
comfort. To tilt the head restraint, do
the following:
• Adjust the seat backrest to an
upright driving or riding position.
• Pivot the head restraint forward
toward your head to the
desired position.
After the head restraint reaches the
forward-most tilt position, pivoting
it forward again releases it to the
rearward, un-tilted position.
GLOBAL OPENING
AND CLOSING
You can use the remote control
to operate the windows with the
ignition off.
1. Press and release the unlock
button on the remote control.
2. Press and hold the unlock button
on the remote control.
3. Release the button when the
windows start to open.
Press the lock or the unlock button
on the remote control to stop
global opening.
NOTE:
You can use global opening for
a short period of time when you unlock
your vehicle using the remote control.
WALK AWAY LOCK
This feature locks the vehicle when
you walk away with the remote
control or authorized phone. The
vehicle must be off. The feature
can be turned on or off through the
touchscreen. You can also adjust the
settings so the horn doesn't sound
when the vehicle locks.
CONVENIENCE
PHONE AS A KEY
Phone as a key allows you to use your phone
in place of a remote control. Up to four
phones can be programmed to your vehicle.
You can use your phone for the following:
• Remote locking and unlocking.
• Passive entry and exit.
• Passive start and drive the vehicle.
• Remote start.
• Memory function recall.
To program your smartphone to use
phone as a key:
1. Visit your device's app store to download
the FordPass app.
2. Create a new account or sign-in with
an existing account on the FordPass
app and add the vehicle’s VIN
to your account.
3. Follow the prompts to complete the
SYNC Connect authorization process.
4. Set up phone as a key following the
prompts in the FordPass app.
5. Follow the prompts on the touchscreen
to set up the backup start passcode.
