Note:
Releasing the clutch pedal during
engine start will stop the engine cranking
and return to ignition on. A message will be
shown in the display.
Stopping the Engine When Your
Vehicle is Stationary
Note:
The ignition, all electrical circuits
warning lamps and indicators will be
switched off.
Manual Transmission
Briefly press the button.
Automatic Transmission
1.
Move the transmission selector lever
to park.
2. Press the button.
Stopping the Engine When Your
Vehicle is Moving
WARNING
If you switch the engine off when
your vehicle is moving it will result in
a loss of brake and steering
assistance. The steering will not lock, but
higher effort will be required. With the
engine switched off some electrical
circuits, warning lamps and indicators may
also be off.
1.
Press and hold the button for a
moment, or press it three times within
two seconds to switch the ignition off.
2. Move the transmission selector lever
to neutral and use the brakes to bring
your vehicle to a safe stop.
3. When your vehicle has stopped, move
the transmission selector lever to park.
STEERING WHEEL LOCK
WARNING
Always check that the steering is
unlocked before attempting to move
your vehicle.
Vehicles without Keyless Starting
To lock the steering wheel:
1.
Remove the key from the ignition
switch.
2. Rotate the steering wheel slightly to
engage the lock.
Vehicles with Keyless Starting
Note:
The steering wheel lock does not
engage when the ignition is on or if your
vehicle is moving.
Your vehicle has an electronically
controlled steering wheel lock. This
operates automatically.
The steering wheel lock engages after a
short period after you have parked your
vehicle and the passive key is outside of
your vehicle.

Vehicles with Automatic Transmission
Switch the ignition on or press the brake
pedal.
Vehicles with Manual Transmission
Switch the ignition on or press the clutch
pedal.
