Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
O5 CHECK CIRCUIT 371 (PK/WH) FOR AN OPEN
Measure the resistance between the blower motor speed control C271a pin 1, circuit 371 (PK/WH) and the blower motor relay socket pin
30, circuit 371 (PK/WH).
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
GO to
O6
.
No
REPAIR circuit 371 (PK/WH).
TEST the system for normal
operation.
O6 CHECK THE RCC MODULE
Connect: RCC Module C228.
Ignition ON.
Depress the AUTO button.
Measure the voltage between blower motor relay socket pin 85 and blower motor relay socket pin 86, circuit 275 (YE).
Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
Yes
INSTALL a new blower motor
relay. TEST the system for
normal operation.
No
INSTALL a new RCC module.
TEST the system for normal
operation.
O7 BYPASS THE BLOWER MOTOR RELAY
Ignition OFF.
Disconnect: Blower Motor Speed Control C271b.
Ignition ON.
Connect a fused (40A) 12 gauge jumper lead between the blower motor speed control C271a pin 1, circuit 371 (PK/WH) and the blower
motor speed control C271b, circuit 371 (OG); connect a second fused (40A) jumper lead between the blower motor speed control C271a pin
2, circuit 57 (BK) and the blower motor speed control C271b, circuit 261 (BK).
Does the blower motor operate at high speed?
Yes

No

O8 CHECK CIRCUIT 371 (PK/WH)
Ignition OFF.
Disconnect: Blower Motor C2006.
Measure the resistance between the blower motor speed control C271b, circuit 371 (OG) and the blower motor C2006, circuit 371 (OG).
Yes
GO to
O9
.
No
REPAIR circuit 371 (PK/WH).
TEST the system for normal
operation.
