PINPOINT TEST F: NO COMMUNICATION WITH THE REMOTE CLIMATE CONTROL MODULE — EATC
Is voltage present?
E6 CHECK CIRCUIT 832 (LB/PK) FOR AN OPEN
Ignition OFF.
Measure the resistance between the ICP C2009 pin 13, circuit 832 (LB/PK) and the RCC module C228 pin 1,
circuit 832 (LB/PK).
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
INSTALL a new integrated control panel (18C858). CLEAR
the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
No
REPAIR circuit 832 (LB/PK). CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT
the self-test.
Test Step
Result / Action to Take
F1 CHECK CIRCUITS 398 (BK/YE) AND 570 (BK/WH)
Ignition OFF.
Disconnect: Remote Climate Control Module C228.
Measure the resistance between the remote climate control (RCC) module C228 pin 8, circuit 570
(BK/WH) and ground.
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
GO to
F2
.
No
REPAIR circuit 398 (BK/YE) or circuit 570 (BK/WH). TEST the
system for normal operation.
F2 CHECK CIRCUITS 385 (WH/RD) AND 729 (RD/WH)
Measure the voltage between the RCC module C228 pin 11, circuit 729 (RD/WH) and ground.
Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
Yes
GO to
F3
.
No
REPAIR circuit 385 (WH/RD) or circuit 729 (RD/WH). TEST the
system for normal operation.
