Compass Sensor Module C918 

 

 

 

 

Measure the voltage between the compass sensor module C918 pin 2, circuit 640 (RD/YE), harness side and ground. 

 

Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?

 

Yes

 

GO to 

B3

 

No

 

REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.

 CHECK CIRCUIT 1205 (BK) FOR OPEN

 

 

Measure the resistance between the compass sensor module C918 pin 1, circuit 1205 (BK), harness side and ground. 

 

Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?

 

Yes

 

GO to 

B4

 

No

 

REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.

 CHECK CIRCUIT 702 (WH/BK) AND CIRCUIT 703 (WH/OG) FOR OPEN AND SHORT TO GROUND

 

 

Instrument Cluster C239 

 

 

Measure the resistance between the compass sensor module C918 pin 3, circuit 703 (WH/OG), harness side and the 

instrument cluster C239 pin 13, circuit 703 (WH/OG), harness side; and between the compass sensor module C918 pin 
3, circuit 703 (WH/OG), harness side and ground. 

 

 

Measure the resistance between the compass sensor module C918 pin 4, circuit 702 (WH/BK), harness side and the 

instrument cluster C239 pin 12, circuit 702 (WH/BK), harness side; and between the compass sensor module C918 pin 4, 
circuit 702 (WH/BK), harness side and ground. 

 

Is the resistance less than 5 ohms between the compass sensor module and the instrument cluster; and 
greater than 10,000 ohms between the compass sensor module and ground?

 

Yes
