What if it does not work?
There are too many variables involved in setting up any VoIP device on an IP PBX or Hosted
Provider to go into all of the possible gotchas in a document like this but there are a couple
of things to check before calling technical support if something is not working.
If the Konftel 300Wx does not pair with the RTX Base Station (ie. IPEI number does not
change from FFFFFFFFFF), go through that pairing procedure again and try to do it a little
faster. The RTX Base Station will stop listening for pair requests if none come for some
period of time.
If the Konftel 300Wx phone does pair with the RTX Base Station but does not show
“Registered” in the “State” column or in the IP PBX/Hosted Provider, check the registration
credentials again to make sure they are correct. Also check the “SIP Log” menu in the RTX
Base Station web interface to see if the registration failure cab be identi
fi
ed. Often a “404
Not Found” or other message will lead to the cause of the issue.
