3.1
Version with planetary gear F 550 GS6
Pump F 550 GS6: eccentric worm-drive pump with commutator motor for viscous media up
to 80.000 mPas according to the eccentric screw principle. Eccentric worm-drive pump with
planetary gear (ratio 1:6,75).
3.2
Version with bearing flange F 550 S and F 560 S
Pump F 550 - eccentric worm-drive pump with three-phase motor for low-viscosity to high
viscosity, pasty still free flowing media up to 25.000 mPas according to the eccentric screw
principle with bearing flange in aluminium.
Pump F 560 S
–
sanitary pump with three-phase motor for low-viscosity to high viscosity,
pasty still free flowing media up to 25.000 mPas according to the eccentric screw principle
with bearing flange in stainless steel. Ideal for the use in hygienic applications, as no hidden
or inaccessible disposals are possible.

Before starting operation
Note
Before the initial start-up, before and after each use we recommend to
clean pump, hose and accessory. Observe chapter 6
“Cleaning”.
Information on assembly and disassembly of pump and accessory
you will find in the corresponding chapters.
Observe internal instructions.
> Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds to the voltage indicated on the name
plate.
> When using compressed air motors please do not exceed the maximum operating pres-
sure of 6 bars and use a filter-regulator-lubricator unit.
> When using compressed air motors, adjust the speed by a ball valve in the air supply
line. Slowly bring the air motor to operating speed. Do not exceed the maximum speed
of 1000 rpm.
> Keep in mind in hazardous areas: The motor (electrical or driven by compressed air)
must not exceed 1.5 kW.
> Before inserting the electrical plug into the socket, ensure that the Start/Stop switch is
set to "0" (Stop). On compressed air motors, close the valve in the air supply line.
> Immerse the pump into the liquid and secure it in a vertical position by the use of a
compression gland or a container clamp.
>
Immerse
the flexible hose end into the container to be filled and secure it by an
appropriate device.
4.2
Before starting operation in hazardous areas
To transfer flammable fluids class IIB only use the pump F 550 S3 54/26 TR.
4.2.1 Demands on explosion-proof protection category 2 (zone 1)
Category 2 (ZONE 1): The external part of the pump between its outlet and the connection
part to the drive motor as well as the internal part of the pump. (During pumping, the inter-
nal part of the pump will always be filled by the liquid).
