SCPI Command Summary
The current value associated with a SCPI command may be read by appending a question
mark to the command. For example CALC:LIM:UPP? will return the current upper
pressure limit.
The command structure will change based on the RUSKA 7252 test port configuration.
There are two configurations. The standard configuration is where the two test ports
operate independently from one another. The optional configuration is the Single Test
Port configuration where the two test ports are connected together. In this mode, the
RUSKA 7252 automatically switches between the two channels selecting the lowest
pressure range channel within the range of the commanded set point to control, thereby
optimizing the performance.
In the standard configuration, the test ports are isolated from one another and the
communication is performed independent of each channel. For instance, a command
MEAS:PRES would be sent to read the channel A pressure. To read the channel B
pressure, the command MEAS:PRES11 would be used.
When the RUSKA 7252 are configured as a “Single Test Port” instrument, the test ports
of each channel are tied together. The instrument acts as a single range instrument to the
operator since it internally switches between the two channels when controlling pressure.
In this configuration, the operator only issues commands to channel A and the system
automatically selects the appropriate channel to generate the commanded pressure value.
The system does not respond to commands associated with channel B in this
configuration.
