Menu | Setup
Setup is used to configure the system. It includes setting all of the limits, user parameters,
user-defined units of measure, remote interface and system setup. On the RUSKA 7252,
the User and Limits screens are separate for each channel and must be set up
independently. The Units, Remote, and System screens are identical in each channel. Any
changes made in one channel immediate affects the other channel.
Menu | Setup — Mode
The

menu, is used to switch between modes of
operation such as gauge and absolute. When instruments are purchased for single mode
operation, only the mode that they are purchased in will be displayed as a user selectable
mode.
Absolute Mode
There are two options available allowing a gauge mode instrument to operate in the
absolute mode. The first option is be adding a barometric pressure reference sensor to the
instrument. When the absolute mode key is selected, the instrument instantly adds the
barometric pressure reading to the primary sensor allowing the instrument to operate in
the absolute mode.
The second optional configuration allowing a unit to operate in the absolute mode is the
“Evacuated Reference Option”. With this option, the reference pressure of the primary
differential quartz sensor is evacuated. This option includes a vacuum sensor that
monitors the vacuum level of the reference port. Once a vacuum level of 350 mtorr or
less is present in the reference port, as measured by this vacuum reference sensor, the unit
will allow the operator to switch to the absolute mode. (If the vacuum pressure is greater
than 350 mtorr, the instrument will not accept the absolute mode command.) It is
recommended to zero the instrument in the absolute mode when switching to this mode to
eliminate any zero offset that may be caused by evacuating the case reference.
Gauge Mode
Pressure is measured with the reference pressure of the sensor referenced to atmospheric
pressure.
