Connection Settings

To control the instrument over USB interface, a serial port connection must be

established first, using the VCP (Virtual COM Port) name (for example, COM3) that is

associated with the USB interface of the instrument. This VCP name can be found in the

Windows device manager under “Ports (COM & LPT).” You will find a port named

“NORMA Power Analyzer USB Serial Port” when the instrument is powered on and

connected to a PC via a USB cable.
On the instrument side, the General Setup screen is used to select the USB interface. No

other setting needs to be made on the instrument side.
