Clean
the Pod

with a mild detergent and
water,
The Pod and module pcas may
be
washed with isopropyl alcohol or
deionized water and
a
soft
brush.
Dry with clean dry air
at
low pressure.
Changing
the
Fuses on the Sync
Module

If the Mainframe displays a “2001” failure code during the self test, the
problem may be that

Sync Module fuse has opened. This problem can
occur when the
Sync
Module ground (GND lead)
is
incorrectly connected to
the UUT.
Before replacing the fuse, determine
the
incorrect ground connection. Then
disconnect the
Sync
Module from
the
UUT
and
replace the fuse
as
follows:
1.
Locate the fuse holders
on
the side of
the
Sync Module, near the Sync
Module cable.
Use the following three
steps
on both of
the
fuses.
2.
Press the fuse holder
cap in; then,
rotate
it
counterclockwise.
3.
Pull
the cap
and
fuse straight
out.
Separate the cap and fuse.
4.
Replace the open fuse with a new 0.25A, 250V
fast
blow fuse.
Changing the Fuse on the
ROM Module

If the Mainframe displays a “2001” failure code during the self
test,
the
problem may
be
that the ROM Module fuse has opened. This problem can
occur when the ROM Module ground (GND) is incorrectly connected to
the
UUT.
Before replacing
the
fuse, determine the incorrect ground connection. Then
disconnect the ROM Module from the UUT
and
replace the fuse
as
follows:
1.
Locate the fuse holder on the
side
of the ROM Module, near the ROM
Module cable.
2.
Press the fuse holder cap
in;
then,
rotate
it counterclockwise.
3.
Pull the cap
and
fuse straight
out.
Separate the cap
and fuse.
4.
Replace the open fuse with a
new
0.25A, 250V fast blow fuse.
INSTALLING THE PLUG-IN MODULES

Before installing or changing the internal or external
modules
in
the Pod, use
the following steps
to gain
access to
the
module connectors inside the back
panel
of
the
Pod:
1.
Check that the Mainframe
power
is
OFF.
2.
Open the back panel of the Pod
by
turning the thumbscrews on each
side counterclockwise, and
then
pulling
the
panel out from the case
(see Figure
3-1).
