Loop Power
Proceed as follows to verify the Loop Power function.
1.
Connect the UUT to the HP3458A DMM as shown in Figure 14.
2.
On the UUT press [SETUP], [ENTER], select
Loop Power 24V
, and press [ENTER]
again.
3.
Observe the no-load voltage reading on the DMM and verify that it is within the
range shown in Table 18.
4.
Set the Loop Power voltage to the 28V setting and repeat step 3.
5.
When complete, disable Loop Power through the [SETUP] menu or by turning the
UUT off. This saves battery life.
