Detaching the drive shaft (optional)
Detach the machine from the tractor before uncoupling the drive shaft from the tractor.
This will ensure that you have the necessary space to safely detach the drive shaft.
Risk of burns on hot parts of the drive shaft! Do not touch any hot parts of the
drive shaft (especially the couplings).
1. Uncouple the machine from the tractor.
2. Drive the tractor forwards such that there is a sufficiently large gap (approx. 25 cm) between the
tractor and the machine.
3. Secure the tractor to prevent unintentional start-up or rolling away.
4. Detach the drive shaft fastener from the tractor PTO.
When detaching the drive shaft, observe the supplied instructions for the drive shaft.
5. Place the drive shaft in the designated holder.
6. Clean and grease the drive shaft before extended downtimes.
Place the detached drive shaft in the designated holder.
This will protect the drive shaft against damage and contamination.
Never suspend the detached drive shaft from its chain. Clean and grease the drive
shaft before extended downtimes.
