6.1.3

Drawbar

Objective

Adjustment of the drawbar height

. The height must be adapted to the trailer coupling of the towing

vehicle in order to couple the trailer without assistance.

Prerequisites

The trailer and the towing vehicle must be positioned one behind the other on a level surface.

Procedure

Type A

By moving the clamping point on the drawbar

Type B

Via spindles on the attached turnbuckle screw

6.1.4

Ball head coupling

The ball head coupling must only be coupled with an
approved coupling ball 80 (ball diameter 80 mm) that is
suitable for ensuring safe attachment and locking.

Fig. 30

:

 Ball head coupling

Maintaining the ball head coupling:

Grease the contact surfaces at the coupling point.

Ensure that the mounting bolts of the ball head coupling are securely fastened.

Replace loose screws and nuts (tightening torque less than 120 Nm) with new ones.

Replace the ball head coupling if damaged, deformed or worn.

Check the function of the ball head coupling.

Replacement to be carried out by qualified specialists only.
