Hardware Installation
To install the Flex-5000, you will need to:
Unpack and decide on a location
Physically connect the radio to a power supply, antenna(s), microphone, key, etc. Although not
necessary, you should preferably make all these connections in advance. However, you must at
least connect the FLEX-5000 to a 13.8VDC power supply and connect the IEEE 1394 FireWire
cable.
Configure the FLEX-5000:

FLEX-5000C:
Set up and configuring the FLEX-5000C's computer.
o
FLEX-5000A:
Install and configure the FLEX-5000 FireWire
Driver This driver is
required to enable the computer to interface with the FLEX-5000.
