Power supply
The installation of the power supply is carried out by the operator. The operator has to provide an overcurrent protector
(fuse or similar device) disconnecting all energizing wires in case of an inadmissible high current consumption. The imped
-
ance of the protective earth has to be low ohmic in order not to allow touch voltage pass the permissible limit. The equipo
-
tential bonding terminal serves as functional earth of the transmitter, see Fig. 7.14.
The external protective earth is connected to the equipotential bonding terminals of the upper and lower housing of the
transmitter.
• Connect the power cable to the transmitter.
For the connection of the power supply cable to the transmitter, see section 7.2.1, Fig. 7.14 and Tab. 7.12.
Important!
The degree of protection of the transmitter will only be guaranteed if the power cable fits firmly and tightly in the cable
gland.
