Display the Measurement Mode Def.MA
15.4 Display the Measurement Mode
In the window Def.MA there is a field that displays the measurement mode.
Depending on the used Def.MA mode (see Table 15-1 on Page 113), this field has the
name Mode, Analysis Mode, Thickness Mode, Mass per unit area (relative/absolute),
Components‘s Mode or Solution Analysis. The meaning of the individual symbols is:

Measurement of the concentration
d Measurement of the coating thickness
g Measurement of the area mass
Capital letters at the beginning of a series of symbols indicate the beginning of the sub-
strate material (base material).
Example: dCcc

The coating thickness of the top layer (consisting of one element) is being
measured
and
Cccc The concentrations of the substrate material, which contains three elements, are
being analyzed.
