and SAE20 for temperatures between 5°C and 20°C is to be used. At temperatures under 5°C oil
of the viscosity SAE10W or 10W-30 is prescribed.

6.5.1 Engine oil change

For the oil change an oil drain hose is lead through the sound cover.
The oil can be discharged by opening the oil drain screw. For countering use
a second wrench.

If discharging of the oil is not possible, we recommend the employment of a hand pump, which can be attached to
the oil drain hose.
Afterwards the oil drain screw is closed again.

Oil strainer
The Farymann engine type 18W430 is not equipped with a replaceable oil fil-
ter. Instead the engine has an oil strainer (at the face down, see picture).
The strainer is to be cleaned every 500 hours. For this the engine must be lif-
ted with the front from the sound cover. The Panda 4000s possesses an oil
drain hose at the oil strainer for discharging the engine oil with the oil
change.
