The CMP-2401B/CMP-2402B FACP (Fire Alarm Control Panel) is factory configured with
the Signal Silence Inhibit feature enabled. This feature prevents the silencing of notifica-
tion appliances and resetting of the FACP for 60 seconds after alarm activation. The Alarm
Relay is also configured to transfer on any alarm condition.
Disabling the Signal Silence Inhibit Feature
The Signal Silence Inhibit feature may be disabled, with the approval of the Local Authority Having Jurisdiction,
by removing Jumper JP2 from the FACP main circuit board (refer to the illustration below). When testing the
FACP, it is advisable to temporarily disable the Signal Silence Inhibit feature to allow for immediate silencing of
the Notification Appliance Circuit while the system is being tested.
Disabling the Alarm Relay
The Alarm Relay may be disabled, with the approval of the Local Authority Having Jurisdiction, by removing
Jumper JP3 from the FACP main circuit board (refer to the illustration below). When testing the FACP alarm
circuit(s), it is advisable to temporarily disable the Alarm Relay to prevent activation of circuits connected to the
relay contacts.
