Setting up Mac OS X printer drivers and printer description
files
The User Software CD contains the following software for Mac OS X:
• PPD Installer—installs the PostScript Printer Description files (PPDs) necessary to
print from Mac OS X.
• Language folders—contain copies of the printer description files that are installed by
the PPD Installer. It is not necessary to open these folders or install them manually
on your computer. The appropriate files are installed by the PPD Installer.

:
If you have OS 9 and OS X on the same machine and you install PPD files,
OS X places a copy of the PPDs into the OS 9 System Folder:Extensions:Printer
Descriptions folder.
