Fiery Setup from the Copier Control Panel

Setup is required the first time the Fiery is turned on after new system software is
loaded. In this initial Setup, you (or the service technician who loads the software)
choose the language for Copier Control Panel menus and messages. If you do not
configure a particular Setup option, the Fiery uses default settings. Make sure the
settings are appropriate for the printing environment at your site.

Fiery Setup from the Copier Control Panel

Setup performed from the Copier Control Panel initially configures the Fiery to
communicate with other devices and manage print jobs sent to it. Once you set up the
following options, you must complete the remaining Fiery Setup options from
Command WorkStation or WebSetup.

Copier Control Panel Setup provides these Network Setup options:

• Ethernet settings

• TCP/IP-Get IP address

• TCP/IP-Subnet Mask

• TCP/IP-Gateway address

The Copier Control Panel on the front of the Fiery allows you to set options and view
information about jobs printed to the Fiery. It comprises the following parts:

• Touch Screen—shows status information and options for setting up the Fiery

• Tabs and buttons—menus, options, and settings
